Picture hanging used to be a time-consuming and complicated job, but this tool makes it quick and easy! Being able to mark exactly where the nail goes lets you hang multiple pictures that are perfectly aligned. Using the "two button" system let's you use two nails to hang a larger piece instead of one, which has the added benefit of keeping the picture straighter for longer. I've also bought 2 for "house warming" gifts for friends that have moved into new houses and they LOVED it.

I used to have one of these knife sets years ago but lost it in a move. It was made with pride in the USA. Beautiful craftsmanship. The item I got now is a sad, made in China (ofcourse) piece of garbage. The box is made if some unidentifable sort of plastic made to look somewhat like of wood. The hinge pin is way too small allowing lots of slop in the lid as though the hinge screws were loose. The lock ring is so rough it is very difficule to secure the blades. This was addressed at the factory by applying light oil to the threads. That cure didn't work. The plastic inserts that hold the pieces are a joke. Distorted out of shape gripping the tools way too tightly. The only good thing I can say is the blades are sharp. Come on Elmer's, you can do better. I would gladly pay twice the price for the original quality,

My cousin has this same knife set that he got years back. I bought a knife set for myself recently and I find that the quality is less than that of the older makes. The handles feel cheap and the box is not as fine as the older one. Still an overall good knife set.

This is a good set, with nice quality cutting edges, but was a little disappointed with the box (MDF with a veneer rather than what appears to be a solid wood box in the pictures as of 4/29).
The other thing that really surprised me was the poor finish to the non-cutting portion of the blade. Many of mine have chips or worn indentations (possibly from finishing the actual blades?) and what appears to be a bad finish on the 'backs' of the blades. Putting your finger gently on this to help guide a cut really makes it seem like you're knicking your finger on solid sandpaper. I improved it somewhat by grinding the backs a little with a file, but definitely surprised about the lack of quality finish from a name like X-Acto.
Still, it does the job of cutting well and the box does hold everything together, although I think the fragile plastic inserts will be useless before too long. In the top of the box the spare blades are held in place by a magnetic strip, and I... Read more

This little guy has been my favorite Moleskine for about the last two years. It doesn't have any of the gravitas of its older, hardbound brothers; but it makes up for it in portability.
These come three to a pack, and have covers of lightweight cardboard. Many of the pages are perforated, and it has an approximation of the standard pocket in the back (a bit less secure). You can get them blank, ruled or squared (graph paper). They are also available in black, if that's your thing, but keep in mind you can't usefully write on the cover if it's black.
What I love so much about these is their lightness of manner. They fit more comfortably in a coat pocket, so I *always* have one on hand. They're not precious (in price or style) so I don't feel bad tearing out a page, even a non-perforated one, nor does it bother me if I spill beer on one. And for more important notes, you can write on the cover.

I'm a convert to paper, having carried a Palm of one generation after another for the last 10 years. But they're just too bulky, not quick enough, and too hard to randomly flip through the accumulated information. (Please don't offer advice on fixing them; I'm in IT support and have gone through all the love-hate cycles with PDA's I can stand. And my phone is _just_ a phone.)
So I found these notebooks and fell in love. I keep one in my pocket at all times and am always jotting down notes, lists, diary entries, reviews, URLs, passwords, etc.
My only fear was losing one, or spilling water on it and watching my water-based fountain pen ink become unreadable. Happily, we have a new copier at work that scans to pdf and emails. So once a week or so I send myself any new pages and have a permanent record in my email inbox if needed--best of both worlds.

These notebooks are flexible and fit well in my pocket. I've been carrying these notebooks around for the past half-year and have been using them to keep lists and jot down ideas. I've really enjoyed using these - it's an easy way to keep track of things. It's nice to have a little bit of paper on hand when I need it.
These are the only notebooks that I've run across that are small, flexible, and side bound. I've tried using the small, top-bound spiral notebooks that are commonly found in stores. Those spiral notebooks tend to get beaten-up before I'm done with them, they give me paper-cuts, and it's somewhat inconvenient to flip the notebook over to continue writing stuff down. I've had none of those problems with the cahier notebooks.
