We purchased these scissors on recommendation from another homeschooler after struggling with my daughters cutting. We previously were using the standard walmart/target brand toddler scissors which made it so difficult for her to coordinate the correct movements. But these really do help make for a smooth cutting motion mainly because it doesn't take a lot of pressure for them to push the blades together and blades are actually sharp.
