Product Review : Moleskine Square Notebook Soft Cover Large
I really like the size of this notebook. I wanted something to carry in my laptop bag for capturing technical ideas. The grid makes it easy to write text or draw diagrams. It is about the right size for the task. The pocket size that everyone knows and loves really is not large enough to capture more than diary type items. This notebook has enough physical real estate to get most jobs done without beeing to large to carry easily.
I'm very happy with how it fits its task.

This notebook is awesome. You wouldn't think the design of a notebook could make that much of a difference, but let me tell you different. From the look, feel and size this notebook is superb. I highly recommend it. It has a strap to keep it closed, as well as one as a place holder plus a pouch in the back to hold loose paper. Who could ask for more? One thing that wasn't obvious from the information listed, the large notebook is not as big as I thought it would be. Turns out I love it, but I expected one more like a regular spiral size and this is about half that. All in all I love this notebook and have ordered more!

This is another fine moleskine product. If you like the basic features of other moleskines this one will serve you well.
However, one drawback that will prevent me from buying this product again is that the grid lines are too dark. I tend to write in (mechanical) pencil so the grid lines on this product are too over barring (for my taste). The ruled journal has lighter lines but for some reason the Squared Notebook's grid lines are dark such that they make it notably more difficult to read your own writing (or sketches).
Not sure why the grid lines need to be so dark but I would really enjoy this product if the grid lines were much lighter.
